How do I add or remove a name from my account?

The MUA requires written documentation such as a deed, death or marriage certificate in order to make a name change to your account.

I own a property that I will be renting out. How do I bill my tenant?

The Authority will only bill the owner of the property and will only place the account in the name of the deed holder(s) of the property. How you arrange payments of the properties utilities is between you and your tenant.

I am Buying/Selling a home in Lower Township, what do I need to do at the MUA?

Approximately three days prior to the scheduled settlement date, the title company should contact the Authority to request a final water reading for settlement. This reading will be taken on the day of settlement and all final figures for both water and sewer will be calculated and given to the title company. Water is not turned on/off during the settlement process nor is the account closed.  The title company will provide the MUA with the owners information, including billing address.

There is sewage coming up at the vent in my yard! What do I do?

If you should experience a backup of sewage into your home and/or on your lawn, contact the LTMUA immediately at 609-886-7146. The cleanout located on your property near the street will be inspected and/or plunged by the Authority.  The MUA provides one free service call per calendar year. For sewage backups before or after office hours or on weekends or holidays, please call 609-780-0101 for assistance.
